The Allen County Republican Party has opened a new "Victory Center" in Lima, Ohio, to serve as a central hub for campaign activity ahead of the November general election. Located on N. Cable Road, the office will provide yard signs, candidate slate cards, and campaign literature, with hours extending as Election Day nears.
Ohio House Speaker Matt Huffman, Ohio Supreme Court Justice Dan Hawkins, treasurer candidate Jay Edwards, and secretary of state candidate Robert Sprague attended the opening, emphasizing voter turnout and canvassing efforts. Sprague specifically highlighted support for State Issue 3, a photo ID requirement for voting, calling it essential to election security. County Commissioner Brian Winegardner said the center gives residents a place to get accurate information directly rather than relying on secondhand or misleading sources. Organizers said the space is open to voters of all parties for educational purposes as the county gears up for what officials described as a highly motivated electorate heading into the fall vote.
