The Nikkei, also known as The Nihon Keizai Shimbun , is the flagship publication of Nikkei, Inc. and the world’s largest financial newspaper, with over 3 million subscribers. The Nikkei 225, a stock market index for the Tokyo Stock Exchange, has been calculated by the newspaper since 1950. It is the country’s only business daily.
