Former FBI Chicago Chief Alleges DOJ Pressured Political Prosecutions
PN Team • 2 days ago
Douglas DePodesta, the former FBI special agent in charge of Chicago who departed this past summer, has filed a lawsuit against FBI Director Kash Patel, Attorney General Todd Blanche, U.S. Attorney Andrew Boutros, the DOJ, and the FBI. DePodesta says he was forced to resign, not retire, after refusing orders to pursue investigations and felony charges against immigration enforcement protesters during "Operation Midway Blitz" without adequate evidence. He alleges Boutros later blamed him for the collapse of the "Broadview Six" prosecutorial misconduct case to protect his own reputation. Boutros has denied prior knowledge of prosecutorial errors in that case.
