Delaware State Senate General Election Results
PN Team • 2 days ago
Delaware's state Senate general election produced wins for most incumbents alongside a few notable turnovers. Dan Cruce (District 1), Spiros Mantzavinos (District 7), Nicole Poore (District 12), Kyra Hoffner (District 14) and Gerald Hocker (District 20) all held their seats. Democrat Shay Frisby, who had already unseated an incumbent in the primary, won District 5 easily in the general.
Two open seats changed representation: Democrat Mara Gorman won District 8, succeeding longtime Sen. Dave Sokola, and Republican Emily Thompson won District 15, replacing retiring Sen. Dave Lawson. Housing affordability, health care costs and education funding were recurring themes across districts.
